52 People, 52 Weeks, that is what Project 52 was. While it took a little longer than I had first envisioned, it is now complete and I must give a big thank you to all those who were part of it and to all those without whose help it could not have been done.

A special thanks must go to my wonderful daughter and the best assistant any photographer could wish for; Katy , who was there for most if not all of the shoots; without her help it would not have been completed at all. So Katy I just wanted to say a very special thank you to you. You were always there when I needed you. I will never forget that.

This project has been a journey that I shall never forget; it has brought me into the homes of friends, colleagues and aquaintances. I like to think it has brought me a bit closer to these people. My photography has changed and evolved in an amazing way. I am practising the art in a different way now, more decisive, more confident, and perhaps most surprising of all, using the simple techniques. That was one of the most important lessons; use simple techniques.

I hope you enjoy flicking through the pages below as much as Katy and I enjoyed making these images. I am now in the process of the final proofing for a book of the images.
